Volunteer opportunities at the Focus Centre
Physical Tasks
We would like to make the Focus Centre a fantastic community building which involves a lot of work to make it look amazing.
- DIY jobs such as painting and decorating, building shelves, fixing furniture
- Tidying outside spaces such as pressure washing paving, fixing fences
- Gardening, weeding, planting flowers, pruning bushes
Digital
Spreading the word online is really important, we’re looking for people who are able to do this, and perhaps also help fundraising.
- Fundraising, Promotion and marketing
- Updating the Website
- Taking photos and making videos
Sociable
Connecting with people, sharing what is happening at the Focus Centre with others.

Other Volunteer Opportunities
As well as fantastic opportunities to volunteer with us at the Focus Centre, we also work alongside the Swanage Volunteer Bureau to bring other opportunities to volunteer in Swanage, you can view the latest up to date list here.
If you would prefer to chat to someone in person then why not pop in to the Welcome Lounge at the Focus Centre any time between 10am – 4pm Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, we can discuss volunteering opportunities at the Focus Centre and also with other fantastic organisations in Swanage. The Swanage Volunteer Bureau meet in the Welcome Lounge at the Focus Centre on the First Tuesday of every month 10am – 12pm.
