We want YOU to get involved!
The community is the project!
Our community connector information sessions are free and available to anyone who lives or works in Swanage and the surrounding villages; these sessions provide an opportunity to learn about Wellbeing Swanage and the work we do at the Focus Centre.
We need community members to:
- Help connect people to the Focus Centre.
- Let us know where there are gaps in the area, and your ideas on how this could be filled?
Why be a community connector?
- Meeting new people
- Making a real difference to people’s lives in your local area
- Building relationships and working with others
- Having knowledge of local services, groups, and activities that promote wellbeing
- Improve your own wellbeing knowing you are doing something great to help others
Skills you’ll need:
- a friendly personality
- great communications skills
- the ability to get on well with new people of all ages and backgrounds
There is no minimum hours, this role is just about having basic knowledge and being able to share with other people and help spread the word. Effectively be a living poster, directing people to the Focus Centre where they can access support and information.

You can be as involved as you want!
